Paris, May 27, 2010 -
From May 31 to June 4, the International Music Council organises, in cooperation with Portuguese Radio, the 57th International Rostrum of Composers. The event will be hosted by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon.

The 2010 Rostrum will gather representatives from 34 national radio networks from four continents, which present some 70 works composed within the five years preceding the Rostrum. Finnish Radio Executive Producer Heikki Valsta will chair the sessions. After the listening sessions, the assembly of delegates will select and recommend the most important works in two categories: general and "young composers".
