A few months ago, before the election of the new European Parliament’s members, we released our recommendations to call on the candidates to include the live music sector in their priorities. In July, after the EU elections, the new Culture and Education Committee of the European Parliament (CULT) has been formed. It is now time for them to endorse their mission status and support the development of the entire European Cultural sphere!
As the European representative of more than 3000 live music venues, clubs and festivals in Europe, Live DMA urges the new CULT Committee to take action and include the live music scenes in the global cultural strategy.
